Where Thierry starts from, and how far he goes
Driver, Let’s Go! is based in Nice, and most rides start or end at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. From there, Thierry covers the Côte d’Azur, in the Alpes-Maritimes and as far as Saint-Tropez, in the Var: the coast, the hill villages inland, and Monaco, where he worked for twenty years.
Four rides have a fixed fare to or from the airport: Monaco €115, Cannes €110, Antibes and Juan-les-Pins €85, Saint-Tropez €290. Also served, without a dedicated page: Monaco, Cannes, Juan-les-Pins, Saint-Tropez. For any other address, the price is given before the ride.
The distances given on the town pages are measured in a straight line from the airport, using the coordinates published by the French government’s Géo API; the road is always longer, especially heading inland.
East or west of Nice: two Rivieras
To the east, the coast narrows between the mountains and the sea: the corniches, Villefranche, Èze, Monaco, then Menton and the Italian border. The roads are beautiful and slow, and you drive right through the Principality.
To the west, the Var plain opens onto a flatter coast, from Cagnes-sur-Mer to Villeneuve-Loubet and Antibes, with the hills of Vence and Saint-Paul above. This is where most of the holiday residences are.
For an outing across several towns, chauffeur by the hour is often simpler than a string of separate rides.
The area served: your questions
Do you go as far as Saint-Tropez?
Yes: €290 per trip to or from Nice airport, about 1 h 45 min, tolls and luggage included.
My town has no page: do you serve it?
Probably: ask with the form or on +33 6 25 03 03 20, giving the address. You get the price before the ride.
Why are the distances given “as the crow flies”?
Because it is the public, verifiable measure, calculated from the coordinates of the French government’s Géo API. The road is longer; you are given the journey time when you book.
Do you do rides between two towns without going via the airport?
Yes: Antibes ⇄ Cannes, Menton ⇄ Monaco, Vence ⇄ Nice. These rides are priced when you book.
