How much is a VTC from Nice airport?

With Driver, Let’s Go!, the four most-booked rides from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport have a fixed fare: the same there and back, and the same for one passenger or four.

Times given by Thierry for a trip without incident; Riviera traffic in summer can make them longer.

A fare “per trip” means a family of four pays €85 to get to Juan-les-Pins, not four times €85. It is the first question travellers ask when they are used to shared shuttles charged by the seat, and the answer is the same for all four destinations.

For an address that is not in the table — a hotel on the Promenade des Anglais, a villa on the Cap d’Antibes, a flat in Villeneuve-Loubet — the price is given when you book, by phone or in reply to the form. After that it does not change: no meter, no surcharge discovered on arrival.

Where Thierry waits for you: Terminal 1 or Terminal 2

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport has two terminals, and your airline decides which one: that is why the form asks for your flight number, which tells Thierry where to stand in the arrivals hall.

As you come out of the baggage reclaim area, Thierry is in the hall with a sign bearing your name. He takes the trolley, walks you to the car and loads the suitcases himself. No taxi queue, no app to open, no unknown driver to look for in a car park.

The two terminals are linked by the tram (line 2). If your flight lands at one and leaves from the other, or if an airline changes terminal, just say so: the pickup happens wherever you are.

  • The flight number

It gives the terminal and the actual arrival time. It is the one detail most often missing from bookings made in a hurry.

  • The name on the sign

Yours, or that of the person you are bringing over: a relative, a guest, a client. Just say so when you book.

Your flight is delayed: what happens

Thierry tracks your flight in real time and sets the pickup time by the actual landing, not by the time printed on the ticket.

A flight from London landing forty minutes late, a long-haul from New York touching down early: either way, you have nothing to do. The flight number is enough; no need to call when you switch your phone back on.

For a departure, it works the other way round: the pickup time is set from the flight time, the distance and the season. From Monaco, with the 45 minutes’ drive given above, Thierry suggests it when you book; in July and August, he allows plenty of margin.

  • Arriving: flight tracked, time adjusted, a name sign in the hall.
  • Departing: pickup time suggested when you book, depending on destination and season.
  • Between 7 pm and 7 am: the ride is on quote — mention it in your request.

How many suitcases fit in the Tesla Model Y?

According to Thierry’s file, his white 2023 Tesla Model Y takes 4 passengers, 3 large suitcases and 2 small ones, split between the rear trunk and the front trunk under the bonnet.

Capacity as given by Thierry. If you have more, say so when you book: better to know before you land than at the kerb.

The front trunk, which saloons do not have, takes cabin bags and handbags: the large suitcases stay at the back, and nothing travels on anyone’s lap. That is what lets the whole family leave a long-haul flight in a single car.

The four fixed-fare rides, and what you will find there

Monaco, Cannes, Antibes and Saint-Tropez are the destinations Thierry drives to most often from the airport: each has its own route, its own time and its own quirks on arrival.

  • Airport ⇄ Monaco · €115

About 45 minutes. Twenty years in Monaco’s hotels: Thierry knows the Principality’s entrances, drop-off points and one-way streets.

  • Airport ⇄ Cannes · €110

About 35 minutes to La Croisette, the Suquet or the Palais des Festivals. During a festival or a congress, book early.

  • Airport ⇄ Antibes · €85

About 25 minutes, Juan-les-Pins included. The drop-off details are on the VTC in Antibes page.

  • Airport ⇄ Saint-Tropez · €290

About 1 h 45 min by the motorway, then the roads around the gulf. The longest ride in the table, at the same fare both ways.

VTC, taxi, tram or shuttle: which to take at Nice airport?

To reach central Nice alone with one bag, the tram will do; with suitcases, children or a destination outside Nice, a VTC booked at a fixed fare saves you the changes and the surprises.

A VTC cannot be hailed and does not wait at the rank: French law requires it to be booked in advance. It is a constraint, and it is also what makes the fixed fare, the name sign and the flight tracking possible.

Your transfer, from booking to the hotel door

An airport transfer with Driver, Let’s Go! goes in five steps, with a single contact: the person who drives.

  1. Your request

The form on this page or +33 6 25 03 03 20: date, flight number, destination, passengers, suitcases.

  2. The fare confirmed

The fixed fare for Monaco, Cannes, Antibes or Saint-Tropez; the quoted price for any other address.

  3. Flight tracking

On the day, Thierry tracks your flight and waits in the hall of the right terminal.

  4. The name sign

Your name in the arrivals hall; the trolley and the suitcases are taken care of.

  5. The drive and payment

Water, Wi-Fi and chargers on board; payment by card, in cash or by bank transfer, for the amount quoted.

Who comes to pick you up

It is always Thierry, the founder of Driver, Let’s Go!, listed on the VTC register under number EVTC 006190285 and a chauffeur since 2019.

Before founding Driver, Let’s Go!, Thierry spent twenty years in Monaco’s hotels as a chauffeur, luggage master and concierge. So the transfer starts in the hall, with the suitcases, and carries on along the road: how long to the hotel, what there is nearby, where to have dinner on your first evening if you ask.

He speaks English and Italian as well as French: a traveller from London, Stockholm or Milan can sort everything out in their own language, from booking to arrival. If your stay continues, hourly chauffeur hire takes over from the transfer.

Transfers from Nice airport: your questions

The questions travellers ask before booking a VTC at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport.

Do I need to book a VTC in advance at Nice airport?

Yes. A VTC is not allowed to pick up passengers on the spot: the ride must be booked beforehand. With Driver, Let’s Go!, book as soon as you have your flight number, with the form or on +33 6 25 03 03 20.

What happens if my flight lands early?

Thierry tracks your flight in real time. If it lands early, he sees it and is in the arrivals hall for the actual landing time.

Does the fare change at night?

Thierry drives from 7 am to 7 pm. An arrival or departure outside those hours is on quote: give the time when you book, and the price is given to you before the ride.

Can I book a transfer for someone else?

Yes. Give the name to write on the sign, the person’s flight number and a number to reach them on. Payment can be made by bank transfer in advance.

Does a transfer to Juan-les-Pins cost the same as Antibes?

Yes: €85 per trip, Antibes and Juan-les-Pins alike, to or from Nice airport, tolls and luggage included.

Is there a baby seat?

A child seat or booster is fitted on request. Give the child’s age when you book so it is in place before you arrive.

Can we make a stop on the way?

Say so when you book: a chemist’s, a bakery, collecting the keys to a holiday rental. Thierry tells you what the stop changes to the price — before the ride, not after.

Give us your flight number, Thierry takes care of the rest.
